Dr. Sue D. Stazetski Muggar

3rd Year Psychiatry Resident

Adults ages 18 and older

Dr. Stazetski is a 3rd year psychiatry resident at Piedmont Macon Medical Center. She is an advocate for mental health and believes that everyone should have access to quality mental health care. As an advocate, she educates her patients to help them understand their minds and

bodies to help reduce the stigma associated with mental health. Her faith has guided her to maneuver around several roadblocks to become a physician. She trusts in God and knows that her purpose in life is to serve others by helping them improve their quality of life. In her practice
of psychiatry, she understands that having the support of one’s faith is an essential component to coping and healing from everyday stressors as well as past traumas.
As a physician, Dr. Stazetski treats a wide range of conditions in adults 18+, including- but not limited to- mood disorders, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder; psychotic disorders, such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, substance-induced psychosis; substance use
disorders, such as struggling with alcohol and/or illicit/recreational drugs. From a treatment perspective, she uses a well-rounded approach to include psychotherapy and medication management. Every patient is unique, and she will customize the treatment plan to treat the whole person and not solely a condition. She encourages all individuals from all cultural
backgrounds, spiritualities, and belief systems to learn more about their mental wellbeing as mental wellness is as important as one’s physical health.
Sees clients in the office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 5:30pm – 8:00pm.
